What a great grill, very well made, after months of looking at various Santa Maria type grills, i opted for the Braten, glad i did, it’s awesome, now to build around it for my outdoor grilling area, going to be a great summer !!!!
Great grill which can be used as an offset smoker for longer cooks or as a direct fire grill for steaks and other cuts of meat. Adjustment of the grill over direct heat makes searing easy while allowing the grill to be moved further away from the direct heat to finish the cook a bit slower.
Quality of the build is fantastic and I am positive the grill will last a long time.

When I was ordering this unit I had high expectations of the product but when I received and opened it I was blown away how well it was build. Completing outdoor grilling area so haven't installed grill yet. Looking forward to the first time firing up of this grill.
Assembled grill a couple days after receiving it via UPS and noticed some damage to the upper left support arm which was slightly bent. After the grill grate is adjusted to maximum height it requires help to allow it to lower itself until about halfway down by pushing down on the grill grate assembly.
I'm not sure if the bend in the left arm where the grate lift "axle" turns in the collar could cause restricted movement when lowering the grate.
